Until this tool can be accessed AND edited by multiple users and can send automatic email/SMS reminders, I don’t see how it’s more than a glorified spreadsheet. And yes, getting users scheduled into tasks/periods was confusing. I had to read the user comments here to figure out what was going on with that.
Personally, I found the concept to be a bit tasteless. However, realizing that remembrance is the better part of grief, I concede that there are probably users who would enjoy this kind of thing.
Moving forward, when I tried to access some pages, I got an error message from the Google Maps API. There were also some broken links, notably the second page of celebrities to browse.
The UI isn’t bad, and the aggregation of tweets isn’t bad. I’d like to see the tech applied to a less macabre subject, though.
This was nicely done but not very ambitious.
Got a Google Maps API error alert box when going to a celeb’s page. Not really my sort of thing but a pretty good execution. I could see something like this taking off under the right conditions. I wouldn’t be surprised to see other people copy this idea (e.g. Yahoo).
