Great idea behind this app. I didn’t find myself interested in many of the articles, so a filter would be nice. How about the ability to do the reverse: paste a link in and see what other stories are related?
Thanks for the feedback. The UI automatically clusters articles via an attraction / repulsion mechanism based on their relevance to each other, which means that the articles sometimes pull each other into different orbits.
Having user preferences is the next logical step for the website, and unfortunately, something we didn’t get time for on the weekend. Ditto for getting it working in IE 7/8.

To make this real, useful, I’d give the user some control to filter and select the sites, types of news, etc they’re interested in.
It’s hard to tell what the movements of the news items on screen mean.
And get it working in iE 7/8.
